How Does Health Insurance Cover You?

With health insurance, you can split the cost of eligible medical expenses with your insurance company; the amount that you have to pay is determined by the deductible, the coinsurance, and the out-of-pocket maximum.

Work through the examples using the simulator by comparing the amount you estimate you'll have to pay with the amount that a typical health plan covers and the amount that you would pay out of pocket.

The education example is based on care received within the network and assumes the amount selected is the highest the plan will permit.
